5 Seconds of Summer is an Australian pop rock band from Sydney, New South Wales, formed in 2011. The group were originally YouTube celebrities, posting videos of themselves covering songs from various artists during 2011. They rose to international fame while touring with One Direction.
On 5 February 2014, 5 Seconds of Summer released its debut single "She Looks So Perfect", which topped the charts in several countries such as Australia.
On 9 May 2014, the band released their second single, "Don't Stop".
On 15 July 2014, they released their third single, "Amnesia" .
On 12 October 2014, 5 Seconds of Summer released their fourth single, "Good Girls".
On 17 July 2015, 5 Seconds of Summer released the first single "She's Kinda Hot" from their upcoming second studio album.
On 12 August 2015, 5 Seconds of Summer announced that their second studio album is called Sounds Good Feels Good.
On 9 October 2015, the band released "Hey Everybody!" as the second single from the album.
5 Seconds of Summer released a music video for "Jet Black Heart" on 17 December 2015.
On 3 June 2016, 5 Seconds of Summer announced their next single "Girls Talk Boys". This song is included on the movie Ghostbusters.
On 22 February 2018, 5 Seconds of Summer released the single "Want You Back" and announced a 2018 tour.
